Results: Not measurable

I’ve chosen a free product for my first Reviewer post. This way all of you, restless readers, will be able to download the PDF and check out for yourselves if we are on the same page.

I’ve found the product pretty weak, even considering that it’s free.

The vast majority of the 55 pages are a catalog of scripts, plugins and other resources, most of them paid ones, with a convenient link to a BlackHatEdition.com page, where, I assume, the reader would find a nifty sales page for the specific product he or she is interested in. I have to assume this because those pages have only been throwing out a MySQL server error for the last two days.

So, as said, the ebook contains little useful information and lots of affiliate marketing. Which is cool with me, no problem with that. It’s the essence of what we all do (yeah, I do it too!).

But, and there’s a big “but”, affiliate marketing is marketing too. And marketing is about uniqueness. Resources catalogs (as any other kind) are not that useful if you don’t differentiate each product. It can really be a trivial thing, even a “marketing bluff”. But there’s gotta be something unique for each product that helps us decide which one to buy!

What we all need and want, what we are all looking for, when reading a gooroo is at least a bit of personal opinion about each product. The insider opinion. But this guy Vince offers none. Each presented resource is described as great and marvelous. There’s not a bit of criticism about them, not even something like “this tool is cool, but this other one is even cooler”. It doesn’t even seem that Mr. Tan has actually ever used those tools he promotes. The ebook is a list of tools with affiliate programs to promote. As said, there’s no method, no way to follow, so the results of the review are unmeasurable.

And to finish up with negativity for today (you’ll find I sometimes exude negativity, it’s just I have this antithesis streak, which is totally necessary to reach synthesis, mind you): sorry, Vince dude, but there ain’t nothing BlackHat here. I’ve read it thrice and I really can’t find anything doubtful or susceptible of being considerated BlackHat. Maybe I walk of the wild side too often…
