Seven posts that will open up your eyes
Monday, 09. 8. 2008 – Category: The Reviewer
Like you surely do too, I read a lot of blogs. Some of them on a daily basis, some of them once in a while.
There are some posts, quite few of them to be honest, that really open up my eyes when I read them. They make me realize there’s a line of thinking I probably would have never found by myself.
So, in no particular order here are some of those posts.
- The dead zone of slick by Seth Godin
In this post, Mr. Godin he talks about giving things the right amount of amateurishness or slickness, depending on the desired results, and about the risks of either falling in the dead, boring zone in the middle or, in more rare cases, go off the slickness scale and fall in the cartoon (I have just finished watching Star Wars Episode III…). I had never thought of that “dead middle zone”, but damn how right it is! - 13 Ways to Add New Dimensions to Your Next Post by Problogger
Some stuff we should all try to do to get a better blog. - Are You Trustworthy? by Sonia Simone at Copyblogger
After all, the coolest thing about blogs is that they’re written by real people, instead of being the voice of a soul-less corporation. This post remembers this easy but important detail. - How to Say Nothing in 500 Words (A Lesson on Writing) by Maki at Dosh Dosh
Amazing post about writing. So let’s call a fool a fool… - Reward Linking Blogs With a Shout-Out by J. Angelo Racoma at Blogging Pro
Very nice idea to implement, I will personally do it starting this month (so start commenting now!) - Will You Create The Next Facebook? by Jason Pereira at Blogtrepeneur
Great advices to get a project rolling! - 7 Reasons Most Affiliate Marketers Fail by Dave at AffiliateBestPrograms
So obvious and yet so often forgotten… A cool post by one of the bravest bloggers I’ve found in this niche.
I’d love to hear about more eye-opening posts. Care to share?

You may want to change your link to the “How to Say Nothing in 500 or Less” article, the original article is no longer at that location this post says it is. This is a common problem we find in SEO, and I recently wrote about it on our blog, which you may find interesting, and also includes an updated link to this great article.
